Płock Aviation Picnic 2025 – Modular System is the official partner of the event

Six years later, the skies over Płock have once again become the stage for aerial acrobatics, thanks to the revival of the iconic Płock Aviation Picnic. Memorable emotion, breathtaking aerial acrobatics, phenomenal night flights, and all this supervised from the Flight Control Tower, which was built entirely from… YES – modules by Modular System!

Płock Aviation Picnic 2025 – return of the event in a renewed version

This year’s edition of the Płock Aviation Picnic represented a much-awaited return after a six-year absence. On this occasion, the event took place at the airport belonging to the Aeroclub of the Mazovian Land. The professional aviation infrastructure provided the event with a whole new dimension and allowed for a more varied programme.

The result? 10,000 delighted spectators who followed the pilots’ performance both during the day and at night!

The Płock Aviation Picnic boasts a history reaching back over a dozen years. It was the edition of 9 August 2025, however, that saw a real revolution. For the first time in the history of the event, night air shows were organised. It was an unforgettable show filled with precise manoeuvres alternated with spectacular pyrotechnics.

Płock Aviation Picnic agenda

This year’s agenda was packed with attractions that will remain in the visitors’ minds for a long time. At the event venue, they had the chance to:

• admire over 40 aircraft at the static exhibition,
• enjoy special areas, such as the comfort zone, children’s zone and food court,
• experience a sightseeing flight in a helicopter or try their skills in a flight simulator.

The crème de la crème of the entire event was the show by pilots from Poland and Europe. The star of the evening, Łukasz Czepiela from Red Bull Air Force, presented his artistic virtuosity in two machines – Carbon Cub and Edge 540. International accents were also present. The Lithuanian Aerobatic Team ANBO, led by Rolandas Paksas (former Prime Minister and President of Lithuania), performed team aerobatics in JAK-50 aircraft.

Mateusz Strama, piloting a MiG-15 (Lim-2) jet from the Eskadra Foundation, and Dominik Punda, in Poland’s first ever show with a Daher Kodiak 100 turboprop, caused particular excitement. Maciej Dominiak presented dynamic helicopter aerobatic evolutions in a Bolkov Bo105.

The night shows, the first ever in the picnic’s history, were a memorable moment. After the Balloon Fiesta, the sky was lit up by a spectacular light and fireworks show, accompanied by flights of motorised hang gliders, helicopters and aeroplanes, creating a truly magical spectacle.

Every great show has its unsung heroes who are behind the scenes making sure that everything runs flawlessly. Obviously, they need the right space to do so. Modular System, being the official partner of the event, provided a key element of the ground infrastructure. A mobile Flight Control Tower consisting of four modern, air-conditioned containers was designed exclusively for the event.

This innovative solution not only provided the hosts with the necessary technical facilities for efficient air traffic management, but also demonstrated how versatile and reliable our modular systems are. The construction reflected perfectly the speed of assembly, mobility and quality that are the distinctive features of Modular System solutions.

Płock Aviation Picnic 2025 – a recap of the event

The Płock Aviation Picnic 2025 undoubtedly ranks among the most successful aviation events in Poland. On the day of the event, thousands of visitors made their way to Płock Airport, where they spent the entire day admiring the extraordinary machines and the skill of the pilots. Both the daytime shows and the spectacular premiere night show provided the audience with a huge dose of adrenaline and unforgettable visual impressions.

The return of the event after years turned out to be a great success, which reignited the love of aviation in the residents of Płock and the entire region, and we are glad that we could be a part of it.
